What PurrAtlas helps you do

PurrAtlas operates this website and is the public service name. It is an editorial website for people living with cats. Its guides focus on practical decisions about feeding routines, litter access, indoor spaces, play, settling in and relationships between cats. Breed pages explain care considerations and questions to ask about an individual, rather than predicting a personality from a label.

Start with the problem in front of you: prepare for a new cat, review a litter setup, or plan a multi-cat home. The care library is organized around those tasks.

What the tools actually do

Our tools perform stated arithmetic and help organize observations. The food converter calculates energy in a measured serving from its own label. The meal planner divides an existing daily allowance. Resource checklists help you review inputs, but do not diagnose stress or establish health.

An account stores private cat profiles and dated owner observations. You can export records or print a recent visit summary yourself. We do not automatically contact a veterinarian, prescribe treatment or provide emergency monitoring.

Editorial responsibility and sources

Public guides are signed PurrAtlas Editorial. Editorial questions and correction requests go to [email protected]. We do not claim that an unnamed veterinarian has reviewed the site, and we do not display invented qualifications, endorsements or partnerships.

Guides link to relevant professional organizations and primary publishers. Our editorial policy explains what checking a source means and how corrections are handled. Illustrative scenarios are examples, not reports about named pets.

Images and individual differences

Cat images are AI-generated illustrations. They help present a topic but cannot verify a breed, reveal a medical condition or document a real animal. Breed traits provide context; your cat's history, observations and professional care plan remain more specific.
